Woven Birthday

Hello and welcome. Here we are the middle of January already.

Today's card turned out to be a little frustrating for me. I had the crazy idea it might be kind of cool to create a woven background from strips of plaid paper. I cut 1/4" & 3/8" strips and alternated them. At first I was a little confused with weaving but my brain finally kicked in. After weaving the strips together I added a Silhouette cut frame.  Sentiment labels are Labels Large & Small from Spellbinders. Sentiment was computer generated and label popped up. I can't decide if I'm happy with it or not but it will be going to my b-i-l.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back soon. Comments are greatly appreciated. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Take Care!
Gerry

  1. I think weaving like this is time consuming and a challenge. You did well although perhaps you would like it better with a less busy paper.

  2. Your woven background looks cool. I like how you varied the widths of the strips. The simple greeting panel with all that white really pops against your background, and the frame finishes the edges nicely.

  4. I'm sure it was quite a challenge weaving the plaid strips the but end result is worth it. It makes a wonderful background.

  5. This would have been very challenging for my brain but I can see your weave. May have been more difficult because of the design but it made a great background.
