Desert Mountains

Hello and welcome. Whether you're planning a fun family get together or just looking forward to a quiet Memorial Day weekend I hope it will be a good one.

A few days ago I decided that it might be fun to create a mountain desert scene card (I have no idea why). After many, many tries this is the final result. I'm not especially happy with it but I think it is kind of o.k. The mountains were cut on the Silhouette but they had a straight cut bottom that just didn't work so I hand cut a curvy/wobbly edge. The cacti are from an online coloring page colored with Copic's, fussy cut and popped with mounting tape. To get the tortoise images I just Googled Tortoises. Sky was made using a torn edge of paper and a cotton ball with Bashful Blue stamp pad. The sun was masked. Desert sand was created with a stipple brush and Crumb Cake & Soft Suede stamp pads.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back soon. Comments are greatly appreciated. Have a great day.

Take Care!
Gerry

  3. Outstanding scene, Gerry!!! I just love how you sponged the mountain edges. Your cacti look so real, so do the turtles! Great job!
