Christmas Cactus

Hello and welcome. YIKES!! Where did this week go???

Todays card is for my 16 year old grandson (well, he'll be 16 on Fri). I wanted to make it a shaker card but that just didn't work for me...ugg!!, so I settled on just a snow globe. For the silhouette of Santa and his sleigh I went on Google. Cactus, lights and base are Silhouette Cameo cuts; sentiment is from an old rubber stamp. The punched snowflakes and the lights all have Wink of Stella on them. Background was done with a (very old) Stampin Up stamp and white craft stamp pad.

Ethel M candies here in Las Vegas has a beautiful cactus garden that they decorate with thousands of lights for Christmas and it is absolutely breathtaking to see. Of course, after walking through the beautiful garden, it's a must to stop in the gift shop for little sample. ;)

Thanks for stopping by, please come back soon. Comments are greatly appreciated. Have a great day.

Take Care!
Gerry

  1. Oh how clever and unique! I love the Christmas Cactus and so won't your Grandson! You should make a bunch of these up and see if the Gift Shop would want to sell them--crafting dollars...wink, wink! :)
