Scalloped Egg

Hello and welcome, I hope you've had a good week. My week was great, I've been using my right hand more and more, but I can't wait to get the cast off.

Ah, my first Easter card for 2017. This will be sent to our 19 year old granddaughter. She's doing this semester in New Zealand and loving every minute.

The egg shaped card is from the Silhouette Cameo. Bow and chevron overlay were cut from glitter cardstock. Very easy-peasy.

Happy 25th Anniversary

Hello and welcome. Yay, spring is here!! I realize it's only here on the calendar for some of you, but you know it shouldn't be long before you see it.

Todays card is for our son & daughter-in-law's 25th anniversary (how did those years go by so fast??). Still working mostly with my left hand I wanted something simple enough so I could do most of it without help. The corner flourishes and numbers were cut on the Silhouette but I had hubby dear cut the Spellbinders Fancy Tag Two. Sentiment was printed on the computer. It doesn't show in the photo but I used embossed paper from Stampin Up's 'Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series'.

Oldometer

Hello and welcome. Now that I have limited use of my right fingers left handed card making is getting a tiny bit easier.

Todays card is for our son. You can see the card that inspired me HERE. Thanks to the Silhouette and  Friskers personal cutter I didn't need any help from hubby dear. All papers are from Stampin Up. Looking at the photo makes me wish I had used different colors, but, you know what they say about hind sight.

Happy 50th Doubled

Hello and welcome. When I broke my wrist a month ago I thought there was no way I could get these two 50th birthday cards done when I needed them. Boy, did I surprise myself.

I had it my head to make a black & yellow card (for my niece-in-law) and happily found the black frame in my stash. I found the silhouette by Googling Silhouettes girls. It took a while but I finally got the image printed in the right place. After I printed the sentiment hubby dear punched the label.

The second card is for  our daughter-in-law. The only thought I had for this card was to use a baby and current photo of her and went from there. Scalloped frames were cut on the Silhouette Cameo; hubby dear hand punched the photo circles. Sentiment was printed on the computer and cut with the Fiscars  paper trimmer. I am very surprised at how much I can actually do left handed.

Thank You

Ohmygosh, it's so good to be back to making cards. Still mainly using my left hand, but can now kind of use the fingers on my right hand. Monday, March 13, I will start PT and the cast I have now will stay on till April 4. I still have a long way to  go to have full use of my right hand but I'm going to keep trying. Coloring seems to be a long way off yet. lol

Last weekend our son and daughter came to help celebrate our birthdays' (hubby dear was 75 but I'm much younger...by 2 years. ;) This thank you card is for our favorite server who helped make our celebration very special.

Sentiment is a Papertrey die that hubby dear cut for me. Frame is one I found on Google. This is very simple but it's a start.
