Congratulations Makenzie

Hello and welcome. I hope you had a nice weekend and are looking forward to good week.

I love making graduation cards, and the last few years I needed several, but this is the only one for this year. Being able to go online to find school colors and logos makes it so much easier. Embossing folder used is Boho Chic, logo was found on Google, sentiment was printed on the computer, silhouette image and numbers are from the Silhouette Cameo. Numbers were cut in both white & black.

Birthday Wishes, Butterfly Kisses

Hello and welcome. Does it seem to you that May is just zooming by? it sure is for me.

I thought it was time to do something a little different so todays card is square, 5x5. Background paper was stenciled using the Mini Chickenwire stencil that I found at Hobby Lobby a couple years ago. Large butterfly is Butterflies Thinlits from SU, small butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. Sentiment was printed on the computer and punched with the Modern Label punch and mounted of the Modern Label Movers and Shapers. Sentiment pieces are popped with dimensionals.

More Swirls

Hello and welcome. I hope you had a good Mother's Day. I had a wonderful day, besides calls from both kids, I had a Happy Mother's Day text from our favorite server....she is such a sweetheart.

For todays card I used the Nail Polish Background Technique. You can see the video by Debbie Henderson here. As you can see, the part of my brain that puts things straight had the day off. The swirls are cut in both white and colored cardstock. Dies are SU's Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. The pinkish color in the background is actually closer in color to the orangey swirl. It's a fun, but a little messy, technique.

Swirly Scribbles

Hello and welcome. Happy Mother's Day.

What do you think, should this card be vertical or horizontal??  Originally I planned it as vertical, now I'm not so sure. I had seen cards on Pinterest using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits from Stampin Up so I just had to order it. The white background pieces, except the swirls, were run through the Softly Falling embossing folder. Flowers are a Stampin Up punch with Clear Wink of Stella and clear gems added.

Happy First Birthday

Hello and welcome. I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a wonderful Mother's Day.

My sister's great-grandson will have his first birthday this month, so, of course I volunteered to make his card. The card that inspired me was found on Pinterest but it was a shaker card and I didn't think a shaker card would be right for a one year old. So, I modified it. The number one and balloons were cut on the Silhouette, stars are a small hand punch, borders are from Avery Elle Dotted Borders die set, sentiment is an old rubber stamp. I put a piece of acetate behind the number one cut out then attached it to a piece of patterned paper from my stash. Balloons were cut from both cardstock and patterned paper and run through the Softly Falling embossing folder. Stars were added to cover a smudge under one of the words.
