Sunflower

Hello and welcome. I think maybe our hot, hot, hot season is coming to an end. We've had a few days now without triple digit temps. Yayyyyy!!

For todays card I used a rubber stamp from Stampendous. It's colored (very badly) with Copic's, and I added a little clear Wink Of Stella on the ladybug. Embossing folder is one from Sizzix that I've had for years, sorry I don't know the name of it. Burlap is from my stash. It doesn't show in the photo, but I distressed the edges of the stamped layer.

Golden Anniversary

Hello and welcome. I hope you've had a good weekend.

My original thought when starting this card was to CASE one of Donna Phelan's beautiful anniversary cards. Well; after 2 attempts I did not do justice to Donna's card so I went in a completely different direction. Sorry Donna. I tell ya, some days I just go brain dead. lol

Sentiment and numbers are from the Silhouette Cameo, cut from gold metallic cardstock, flourish is Die-namics Fancy Flourish die. The white background paper is Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper from Stampin Up. Unfortunately the embossing doesn't show in the photo.

Birthday Baseball Cap

Hello and welcome. I hope you're having a good week.

Todays card is for our great-grandson. His baseball season is over for this year but he is such a good player I wanted to make him a baseball themed card. Last year I made him a football card...he is quite the little athlete. The shaped card is from the Silhouette Cameo and I also cut the letters & numbers on the Silhouette. The black cord is a piece I found in my stash. Very easy-peasy.

Who Let The Dogs Out

Hello and welcome. I hope you had a great weekend. As usual my weekend was very quiet.

Todays card was quite a challenge for me. A friend asked me to make a 60th birthday card for her sister, not a big challenge right??? Well...she wanted a German Shorthair Pointer, German Shepard, Boxer and a St. Bernard each with a thought bubble above them. Thank goodness she told me what she wanted the sentiment and each thought bubble to say. She also wanted balloons on the front. I found images of all 4 breeds and went from there. What would I do without Google??? Banner and balloons were cut on the Silhouette with some clear Wink of Stella on the balloons. Dog images and thought bubbles were fussy cut; background paper was scored; balloon strings are bakers twine; two top balloons are popped up; all other images are two layers of cs for just a little dimension. I was so relieved when she said she loved it.

Sara's House

Hello and welcome. I hope your week has been good.

Today's card is to congratulate our 23 year old granddaughter for buying a town house. We are so proud of her to be able to purchase a home without any financial help from family.

The card base is from the Silhouette. The scored lines are supposed to resemble siding and roofing. I added a little zebra print in the window because she wants to decorate at least one room in a zebra theme. Flowers are from a Stampin Punch, stems & leaves are from Stampin Up's bird builder punch. Pink gems for a little bling.
