Another Birthday

Hello and welcome. I hope your week is starting out to be a good one.

Todays card is for one of my brothers-in-law. It's fun making his cards because he likes my snarky ones. The idea for this layout came from perusing Pinterest. The shape was cut by using a Stitched Basic Edges die from Die-namics. I colored white enamel dots with Copic markers, inside dots are just hand punched cardstock. Sentiment "Another birthday and I don't think you look a day older! It's fun to make believe isn't it?"  I chose not to use the Mr. Roger's picture that the sentiment is shown with.

Zombie Wine

Hello and welcome. I hope you are having a very nice weekend.

Todays card is for our favorite server who has become a good friend. She's really into Zombies, weird Goth stuff, and likes her wine. I went to Google to find Zombie wine images. Bottle is from the Silhouette Cameo. Bottle top is metallic textured cardstock. My brain was off duty so I had to print on the label after it was cut. Small bottles (punch from my stash) have Wink Of Stella on them and are popped with dimensionals Dots across the top are from a hand punch and also have Wink Of Stella on them. Sentiment, "I bought you an awesome bottle of wine for your birthday! It tasted wonderful, I thought about you the entire time though." , was found on Pinterest. Looking at the photo I realize I should have made the bottle a little taller....oh well, you know what they say about hind sight??

Classy and Sassy

Hello and welcome. This has been a wonderful week for me because I was released from PT on Monday. I still have to do exercises at home for a while but I've been using my right hand without even thinking about it. As bad a brake it was, I'm very happy with my progress. Now onto todays card.

Since I first saw this sentiment "Classy, sassy and still kickin assy" I've been waiting for my S-I-L's birthday. My regular followers know how much I like to make snarky cards. For the images I Googled classy ladies and sassy ladies images. After printing the images on a piece of white cs, 4 x 5.25 inches, I cut it with a Avery Elle Dotted Border die. Words were punched out with the Word Window Punch and mounted on a Modern Label punch. Clear gems were colored with a black Copic marker.

Emboss Resist

Happy Easter! Hope you have/had a wonderful holiday.

Todays card is my first attempt at stamping and embossing since I broke my wrist. Guess I didn't have quite enough strength to be able to use enough pressure on the stamp....but it's a start. Stamps used are from Gina K's Birthday Blessing set. Because the emboss resist method used stamping, embossing and sponging, I thought that would be a good start for me. Now I have to try coloring stamped images....oh my.

Lost My Head

Hello and welcome. I hope your plans for Easter are coming together nicely. Since our family are all in MN we'll have a quiet day with the two of us.

Here is my last Easter card for this year. I made this for one of our favorite servers whose sense of humor is very much like mine. Sentiment "I Love Easter! When else can you bite someone's head off and have it be chocolate?" is a Maxine saying found on Pinterest. Papers are all Stampin Up, bunny & bow are from the Silhouette. I used a decorative scissor to cut off the head.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back soon. Comments are greatly appreciated. Have a very Happy Easter!
