Birthday Panels

Hello and welcome. My thoughts are going out to all those in the areas of the flooding.

Todays card is for two challenges
Sketch challenge at Crazy4challenges
Color challenge at JUGS

Yellow panels were run through the Cuttlebug Textiles ef; for the purple strip I used Cuttlebug's  Just My Type embossing borders. Sentiment is a very old rubber stamp;  flowers are from an online coloring page colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. Circle is Stitched Circles from Di-namics and popped up.

Christening Day

Hello and welcome. Can you believe we're in the middle of March already?!?!

Todays card is for the christening of our great-granddaughter. I CASE'd a card I saw on Pinterest, you can see here. I used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls ef, Spellbinders Lacy Circles & Classic circles. Ribbon and gems are from my stash. Corners were punched with an inverted corner rounder punch. Labels were hand cut.

Irish Toast

Hello and welcome. This has been quite a lazy weekend but I did get a card made.

Todays card is the "chuckle of the month" for my dear old sister. Pinterest provided me with lots of Irish quotes & toasts to choose from. My choice: "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk we fall asleep. When we sleep, we do not sin. When we do not sin, we go to heaven. So, let's get drunk and go to heaven."  For the Ombre effect I used Certainly Celery, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive. Border frame was found on Google, gems are from my stash. I'm entering this in  MOD Squad Green, Green Everywhere challenge and Dragon Fly Journeys Green Goodness.

Smooshed and Swirled

Hello and welcome. I hope your week went well and you're looking forward to a pleasant weekend.

Todays card is for our daughter-in-law's (50 something) birthday. This could easily be used for any occasion. It's been a long time since I've used the 'smooshing' technique so I decided to give it a try again. You can see the video I followed here. I used Certainly Celery and So Saffron ink refills but  wish I would have used more Certainly Celery. Corner die is from Tim Holtz, swirly die is Fancy Flourish from Di-namics cut from black glitter paper.

4 William

Hello and welcome. My 75 birthday  (also hubby dear's 77 birthday) was this past weekend and our daughter came down from MN to help us celebrate. It was a wonderful weekend.

Todays card is one I helped my daughter make for their nephew William. You probably guessed he's turning 4. Race car (because he's in to Hot Wheels) is from the Silhouette Cameo, sky was made using a cotton ball and Bashful Blue stamp pad on white cs, road is a strip of Basic Gray cs, number 4 is from a Sizzix Thinlits. I thought it would be cute to have his picture in the window and luckily we found a profile one of him so it looks like he's driving.
